Thank you to the hundreds who came to Skylight last night in solidarity to listen and share. What an incredible event. We are proud to be part of your community. http://ift.tt/2fSgCaI

All of us at LARB and Skylight are reeling. We’re furious. We’re saddened. And we’re more determined than ever to fight the good fight to protect voices, to defend the power of art, and to disseminate the widest possible array of what can be thought and written, mobilized and empowered, in reaction to this moment.
In that light, we are inviting writers, artists, readers, critics, and others to gather on Monday night at Skylight Books at 7:30 PM.
Skylight will arrange books germane to this political moment. They will also have compiled a list of organizations, local and otherwise, that need our help and support.
We invite you to join us. Bring your own writing. Bring a poem or an essay or any piece of writing that has meant something to you these past few days. Bring your friends. Bring anyone who might want to attend. Or just bring yourself. Come to read, talk, and listen.
We will be there, in solidarity,
LARB and Skylight http://ift.tt/2eQXw5K
