Reader, The Los Angeles Film Festival is quickly upon us. We’re very happy to host two great literary events at the festival this year.

The first is “Violette." Emmanuelle Devos gives an astonishing performance as the volatile, bisexual, pioneering feminist writer Violette Leduc, whose stormy life intersected with the giants of the post-war French literary world - Simone de Beauvoir, Albert Camus, Jean Genet, and Jean-Paul Sartre.

The second is ”Love Letters to Los Angeles: Michael Connelly.“ Through the intricate investigations of detective Hieronymus Bosch, writer and author Michael Connelly has consistently painted a stark view of Los Angeles, equal parts chaos and splendor.

We hope to see you at these and more events this weekend and next week!
